Latest [updated 7 November 2016]

Hello. Thanks for visiting my website. It has been a while, but I have now updated the general information on this page, and the overview of books, journal articles and bookchapters, with quite a lot of new publications and quite a lot in the pipeline.

The overview of presentations is unfortunately not up to date. I'm in the fortunate position to present in many different places but am currently struggling to keep up with the information. A major forthcoming event is my keynote at the New Zealand Education Conference in November 2016.

Other remarkable news is that the following publication is already the second most downloaded paper in the history of the journal. Check it out here.

Biesta, G.J.J, Priestley, M. & Robinson, S. (2015). The role of beliefs in teacher agency. Teachers and Teaching: Theory and Practice 21(6), 624-640. 10.1080/13540602.2015.1044325

The final bit of news is that I am enjoying participation in the Teaching Common Values project, initiated by the European Parliament and led by Prof Wiel Veugelers, University for Humanistic Studies, the Netherlands, focusing on democracy and tolerance in secondary school education. (I'm doing the UK/England case study.)
